Boat Hire Pontoon History (DIY)

In 2013 we designed, fabricated and commissioned an upgraded Hire Boat Pontoon.

  • Boat Hire operations have been conducted since November 2006, when an initial boat hire fleet of 5 aluminium hire boats and 10 canoes was established.
  • In August 2010 we purchased a BBQ Punt, and in September 2010 we launched a temporary pontoon for Hire Boat operations.
  • An upgraded pontoon is in use since March 2013 and serves for Hire Boat operations and as a dinghy storage area.
  • In April 2013 we commissioned dinghy storage shelf on the Wharf, adjacent to the pontoon.

Since October 2012 the Hire Boat business is a separate entity from the marina business.
